I have a Whirlpool fridge with what must be a very common design flaw that apparently no one can help me with. The 2 top glass shelves are too short and are constantly falling down anytime they shift. They are adjustable and only long enough to hang on the tracks about a 1/8" on either end. They need to be at least 1/2" longer in order to fit snugly and not fall so easily. I spent over 30 minutes explaining the "simple problem" to 2 different people online and then also called their customer service line as well. They had no solutions other than suggest I pay for a service call for someone to come and tell me what I already know.

We bought this fridge 2 1/2 years ago. Initially it froze everything so I followed instructions to lower the temperature. It worked well for about 2 years then basically stopped refrigerating. We don't generally buy extended warranties but our small town retailer suggested we purchase one this time - fortunately! Comerco sent an appliance repairman out twice and he replaced a couple of parts to no avail. Luckily we have a 45 year old dinosaur fridge in our basement so have been able to function. We have now received a credit for the original sale price with our retailer. We were well served by the Extended Warranty company but hate the thought of an almost new fridge going to the landfill to join many other poorly engineered and constructed appliances.

Recently bought and brand new house and the builder offered us this model fridge. It's very spacious and deep. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, it's an excellent fridge and holds a lot of goods.

J'ai acheté ce refregirateur (wrt148fzdw) il y a 18 mois seulement, dernièrement il fonctionnait sans arrêt et dans la portion refregirateur la température desceñdait a moins 10 C, et tout gelait même le lait. Après avoir fait affaire à un réparateur compétant ce dernier a trouvé que le système scellé était défectueux. La compagnie ne donne une garanti inconditionnelle que d'un an . Oh elle envoie un réparateur de la compagnie, mais sa visite (si on a pas acheté un plan de protection) coûte 390$ En main d'oeuvre pièces couvertes par whirlpool. Sur un appareil à 1000$ ça représente un bon montant. Donc on en achète un autre et on doit envoyer aux vidanges cet appareil.

Quality is not good

We have it since April 6, 2017. After about 3 months, it stopped working. There were 4 services so far. The refrigerator is working now. But there is dead animal smell close it. Now we are waiting for the 5th service which is next week. the whole summer we rarely had the chance to use our refrigerator.
